THE BIRTH OF Niagara Triskelion On a summer evening, the 17th of July 2022, around 8:30 pm, three visionary Triskelion brothers and a sister – Brothers Ted Duran “ V. MAPA / CCP “, Jun Miranda ”TYM MANDALUYONG / FEATI UNIVERSITY “, Teddy Apolonio “FEU “, and sister Chuchay De Guzman “CLSU”, gathered for dinner at their cottage in Niagara on the Lake. They engaged in contemplation and shared opinions on how to become instrumental advocates of the Tenets and Code of Conduct of the Tau Gamma Phi and Tau Gamma Sigma in Niagara, Canada. During this discussion, a noble idea emerged: the need for a “Welcome Wagon” project to benefit all newcomer Triskelion brothers and sisters in Niagara. This moment highlights the essence of being a Triskelion. Regardless of one’s chapter or council of origin in the Philippines, a Triskelion carries with them the doctrines that shape them as individuals. Once a Triskelion, always a Triskelion – embodying the principles of service and humility, akin to a Christ-like servant. Central to the Triskelion philosophy is the belief that every individual is equal and deserving of respect. One’s worth is not measured by material possessions or achievements but by the faithful service rendered to society. A Triskelion lives by the motto: “Man is brother unto man… Live and let live.” Following that memorable evening, the three brothers and the lady Triskelion continued to meet regularly, determined to realize their shared vision. Their aim was to covertly organize the Niagara Triskelion, demonstrating their philanthropic spirit by welcoming fellow Triskelion members and their families to the area, supporting them until they became permanent residents and citizens. July 17, 2022, marks the formal inception or foundation of Niagara Triskelion, established by its three legitimate Triskelion brothers and a Lady Triskelion sister.
