In the summer of 1994 April 3, a chance meeting between Brod Oka de Paula and Brother Edmund Canuto at a Winnipeg grocery store sparked the beginning of the Triskelion Brotherhood in Manitoba. Their excitement over reuniting led to informal gatherings and a commitment to reconnect with fellow Tau Gamma Phi members in the area. Their network grew when Bro Edmund publicly revealed their fraternity ties during Bro Oka’s wedding speech. This led to connections with Bro Jojo Marcial (UE), Sis Gigi Lopez (San Beda), and Sis Daisy Pascual (FEU), among others. Through workplace searches, media announcements, and frequent meetups, more Triskelions were found. What started as small reunions turned into monthly meetings, celebrations, and community service efforts. Today, the Manitoba Triskelions are 80+ strong, representing various professions and continuing to uphold the fraternity’s values, making Triskelions worldwide proud.
