About us

TAU GAMMA PHI

The Triskelions’ Grand Fraternity and Sorority, Canada National Council, serves as the governing body for Tau Gamma Phi and Tau Gamma Sigma in Canada.

The idea of a national council for Canada was presented by brod Alan Cruz who represented Canada in the First International Summit in January 2008 in California. The TGFS Canada National Council was formed by councils from Winnipeg, Vancouver, Toronto and Calgary. Established on September 19, 2009, it has grown to over 1,000 members, comprising 24 regional councils across the country, and operates as a not-for-profit organization dedicated to fostering unity and camaraderie among its members and the broader community. Regional councils are encouraged to engage in community-focused initiatives, such as organizing blood drives, community cleanups, food bank programs, and clothing donation campaigns, to contribute to the community and uphold our mission of supporting meaningful community projects.

By doing so, we not only enhance the well-being of our neighborhoods but also foster a sense of unity and social responsibility among our members. In addition to these community projects, an annual Summit and Sportsfest is held to bring members together, promoting unity, socialization, and shared enjoyment, while fostering a sense of belonging and togetherness.

Our Legacy

Founded in 1968, Tau Gamma Phi was built on the principles of friendship, leadership, academic excellence, and service to others. Over the past five decades, our fraternity has become a home for men who are driven to make a positive impact on the world, both on and off campus. We have grown from a small group of like-minded individuals to a thriving network of brothers who are dedicated to fostering lifelong connections, personal development, and community service.

Brotherhood at the Core

The essence of Triskelion grand fraternity is its brotherhood—a bond that transcends time and distance. Our members come from all walks of life, yet share a deep sense of camaraderie and respect for one another. From late-night study sessions to volunteer efforts, our fraternity is a place where lifelong friendships are forged and memories are made.

50 Years of Growth

As we mark this significant milestone, we celebrate the achievements of our brothers who have gone on to become leaders in their fields, mentors in their communities, and lifelong advocates for the values we hold dear. From our chapter house to the many successful initiatives we’ve launched, our legacy is one of growth, support, and the unyielding pursuit of excellence.

Our Mission

Looking ahead, we remain committed to our founding principles. Triskelion grand fraternity will continue to foster an environment where brothers can grow intellectually, emotionally, and professionally. We prioritize leadership development, community involvement, and academic success, ensuring that every member has the tools to thrive in all aspects of life.

Join the Celebration

As we celebrate 56 years of brotherhood, we invite all our alumni, current members, and future brothers to join us in honoring our past and shaping the future of our fraternity. Together, we are more than just a group—we are a lasting legacy of friendship, leadership, and commitment to the greater good.

Thank you for being a part of our journey. Here’s to the next 56 years!

About us

Meet our Tau Gamma Sigma

Tau Gamma Sigma Founding: Tau Gamma Sigma was founded on January 17, 1969, by ten women from the University of the Philippines Diliman.

The Canada National Council is part of Triskelions’ Grand Fraternity and Sorority, which includes Tau Gamma Phi (fraternity) and Tau Gamma Sigma (sorority). The Formation and Growth of TGFS Canada National Council’s vision came to fruition on September 19, 2009, with the official establishment of the TGFS Canada National Council. Thus, the “Sigma Affairs” was created with Triskelion Sisters from all regional councils as members. Together, we initiate fund raising projects and voluntary donations, within the Sigma Affairs and strengthens our participating councils while also contributing to the broader Canadian society.
